    Before a meal, enter estimated carb count into your pump.
    If the system detects a meal, based on the rapid rise of your sugar levels, it automatically delivers stronger correction doses while sugar levels are rising, up to every 5 minutes, to help prevent highs.

System Components

Insulin pump: Based on info received from the CGM every 5 minutes, the pump makes automatic adjustments and corrections to your insulin delivery.

Continuous glucose monitor: The Guardian™ 4 sensor & transmitter measure glucose levels every 5 minutes, sending info to the pump with no fingersticks when using SmartGuard™ technology.

Infusion set:  The Medtronic Extended infusion set allows for continuous and discreet delivery of insulin through a thin, flexible tube and can be worn up to 7 days.

Smartphone app: Get notified of highs and lows with the MiniMed™ Mobile app. Care partners can download the CareLink™ app to stay in the know.
